Why "private" is not just a word here
Most converters ask you to upload your statement to their server, and chat assistants keep a copy of what you paste. A bank statement shows your account number, balance, income and every place you spend money.
This converter runs in your browser. The site's security policy (which you can see in your browser's developer tools) only lets the page connect to its own address, and the only thing it ever sends there is a license key when you turn on Pro. You can load the page, switch off Wi-Fi, and it still converts.

Questions
Is my bank statement uploaded?
No. The PDF is read by code running in your browser tab and is never sent anywhere. The only network request the converter makes is a license check when you activate Pro, and that sends only the key.
Which banks does it work with?
It reads the layout of the page instead of relying on a list of banks, so it works with many text-based statements: separate withdrawal and deposit columns, a single amount column, running balances, card statements with "CR" credits, and US or day-first dates. Unusual layouts can still trip it up, which is why the free tier lets you check your own statement first.
Does it read scanned statements?
Not yet. If you can't select the text in your PDF, it's a scan and this tool can't read it.
What is the balance check?
When your statement prints a running balance, we check that each balance equals the previous one plus the transaction. Rows that don't add up are marked so you know where to look.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Pro doesn't work for your statements, reply to your Gumroad receipt within 30 days for a full refund.
